Unpleasantly hot weather in Portugal during Summer time makes people down to do stuff. So it is not suprising that every time an opportunity presents itself (free time after work, weekend, national holiday) myriad Portuguese people escape to costline.

Located along the west coast of Europe, Portugal is full of places filled with stunning cliff formations, gold sand, turquoise water and Atlantic sea breeze. Just 30 minutes car ride away from Lisbon you can find Costa da Caparica – also known as surf spot.

Although, the perfect gateway for any traveller I found the Praia do Ribeiro do Cavalo. Just three years back there were hardly any people around. Now, thanks to the people sharing view of the beach on the Internet, it is enormously crowded, especially during high season. Nonetheless, the place still looks as to be pristine.

The road to reach the beach is hidden and mostly based on climbing (comfortable shoes are must have). If not the cars parked by beachgoers in the middle of nowhere, it would be difficult for us to find the right path to it.

Nevertheless, nothing is faultless and as far as I am concerned the Praia do Ribeiro do Cavalo is the perfect place to make one feels free.

The only con I found were stones which covered the bottom of the Ocean and hurt legs and feet with every wave.

The Praia do Ribeiro do Cavalo is definitely a wonderful place for sunbathing but take some precaution when swimming there.
